Mission Statement

Apalone’s mission is to look at the performance of athletic gear in a new way. Our proprietary technologies and methodologies provide innovative alternatives to current products.

Vision

We believe access to high quality athletic gear should not be limited by the developer’s vision or the participant’s resources.

Our History

Apalone was conceived with the dream of providing all athletes, especially participants in American football, the highest quality headgear possible. The life-long effects of one or more concussions experienced by participants in sports and other activities are becoming an alarming realization. Many high school, college, and professional football players have recently experienced the debilitating effects of multiple concussions. The effect of repeated impacts to the head without a concussion has also been documented as having an adverse effect on mental capacity and cognition. We believe participation in extracurricular activities, especially sports, is valuable to the overall development of the youth of our country. Unfortunately, with the rising costs of helmets, the best equipment is not always available to all participants. Apalone Incorporated is striving to use its patented technologies, through licensing and manufacturing, to establish a business model that allows our cutting-edge, dual-shell technology to be available to everyone. The recent pandemic has increased the need for our business model, a model centered upon moving technology forward without leaving anyone behind. Recently, Apalone, Inc. received its newest patent approval, a patent providing us with the intellectual property to design helmets incorporating artificial intelligence. Our innovation will allow helmet design to progress from positional helmets to helmets designed for the individual player’s size, speed, etc. We are implementing this and our previous innovations to move us closer to our vision of improving safety in American football, hockey, lacrosse and all sports requiring protective headgear.
